Building Fund Campaign

A New Home for the Selah Naches Food Bank

The Selah and Naches Communities have a growing need for food assistance services. Our goal is to build a facility that will not only provide a much larger food storage space but will increase accessibility and outreach.

Find out how you can support the building of a new home for the Selah Naches Food Bank.

Land Purchase

Land (.71 acre) has been purchased, located at the corner of Goodlander Road and North Park Drive in Selah, behind Grocery Outlet.

Design

3D Digital Design and Development has designed the structure for the Food Bank, which has been approved.

Fundraising

Fundraising has begun for a 4,220 sq ft building, with a goal of $750,000. Grant applications, business support and donations from individual donations will help us achieve our goal of breaking ground in 2022.

How to Donate

The Plan

The future site of our new Food Bank is behind Grocery Outlet on the corner of Goodlander Road and North Park Drive. It will be 4,220 square feet with an accessible entrance for wheelchairs, walkers and strollers to easily go in and out. The building will also have a loading dock for truck deliveries.

We will have a new layout which will enable clients to use a shopping cart and choose the food they need from available donations, similar to the way a grocery store works.

We are moving forward with a Capital Building Fund for our new Food Bank. We are accepting donations from the community and individuals. The Selah Naches Food Bank is a non-profit organization, so your donation is tax deductible.

All Donations are Welcome!

Your donation will be used for the construction of the new Selah Naches Food Bank building, located off Goodlander Road and North Park Drive in Selah.

Cash and In-Kind Donations given within the listed tiers will be recognized on a plaque with your name or business name, to be hung at the new Selah Naches Food Bank building.

Your Donations are Needed!

Over the years, food distribution at the Civic Center has become problematic. The warehouse storage we’ve been using at the Selah School District to the Civic Center and back again on food bank days with our big yellow Selah Food Bank Truck.

The district has indicated that they would like to use the designated building for other purposes. We have outgrown these generously provided community premises!

A purpose-built Food Bank building will better meet the needs of the community as it can be best set up for storage and distribution in one location, thus reducing the burden of time and effort on volunteers as well!
